Lighthouse Seventeen (“I”, “my”, “me”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data I collect through www.lighthouseseventeen.com, why I collect it and what rights you have over it.

3. Why I collect your information

I may process your personal data for the following purposes:

Responding to enquiries and delivering services
Legal basis: Performance of a contract, or taking steps at your request before entering into one.

Understanding how the website is used
Legal basis: Legitimate interests, and consent where required for non essential analytics cookies.

Meeting legal and accounting obligations
Legal basis: Legal obligation.

Where I rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This will not affect any processing carried out before you withdrew your consent.

4. How I share your information

I do not sell or rent your personal data.

I only share personal data when necessary with:

• Service providers. Squarespace hosts this website and may process contact form submissions and other website data on my behalf.

• Legal or regulatory bodies. I may disclose information when required to do so by law.

Squarespace is based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are used in accordance with UK data protection law.

5. How long I keep your information

I keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as the law requires.

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: Kept until it is clear that the enquiry will not become an engagement, then deleted, or deleted sooner upon request where appropriate.

• Client and accounting records: Kept for at least five years after the relevant 31 January Self Assessment filing deadline, in accordance with HMRC record keeping requirements for sole traders.

• Other information: Deleted when it is no longer required, or sooner upon request where no legal reason requires me to retain it.

6. Cookies

This website uses cookies to:

• Operate correctly through essential cookies, which are always active

• Help me understand how visitors use the website through Squarespace Analytics, where you have consented

Non essential cookies will only be used after you have given consent.

You can change your preferences at any time through the website’s cookie banner or through your browser settings.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data I hold about you

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information

• Ask me to delete your personal data

• Withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent

• Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your personal data has been mishandled
